One Turkish soldier killed by fire from Syria: Reports

One Turkish soldier was killed and at least one more was wounded Thursday by fire from the Syrian side of the border, the official Anatolia news agency reported.

The soldier was killed in the Turkish border region of Kilis, the agency said, three days after a suicide bombing blamed on Islamic State (IS) jihadists killed 32 people. Dogan news agency said four soldiers had been wounded and the fire came from an area controlled by IS.
