Kerry to visit Cuba on August 14: U.S. official

US Secretary of State John Kerry will visit Cuba on August 14 to raise the American flag over the newly-restored embassy in Havana, a US official told AFP.

The United States and Cuba on Monday resumed diplomatic ties after a half-century freeze, and Kerry was later to meet Monday with his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez.
