Islamic extremist blows up while filming propaganda video

The video was posted to YouTube a few weeks ago, and since then it has gone viral. It has received more than a million views, over 1,000 thumbs ups and hundreds of comments.

The clip shows a man talking to the camera. The man is describing how his group Ajnad al-Sham had captured Tal Sukayk, which is located in the Hama countryside.

In the 40-second footage, the man can be seen trying to duck, but it’s too late and he couldn’t escape the shell as it lands right behind him. When the shell lands, you can see thick smoke and no sign of the man. The man filming the video was also killed.

Afterwards, screams can be heard and then the camera turns black.

Ajnad al-Sham makes up a three faction alliance with Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham, which are affiliated with Al-Qaeda.

The alliance’s main focus is to fight Russian forces and the Assad regime. The cameraman was Ahmed Abu Hamza, and his friends paid tribute to him on his Facebook page. His friends praised his bravery.

Even though the video was uploaded weeks ago, it’s not certain when the video was actually filmed or how long ago it was filmed.
