Valerie Trierweiler, the girlfriend of French President Francois Hollande, will not be checking out from hospital on Monday as initially expected, according to her office.
"Doctors believe she needs more rest," said an aide to Trierweiler, who checked into hospital on Friday from what has been reported as a "severe case of the blues" after magazine reports emerged that Hollande has been having an affair with an actress.
