Egypt police link killed gang members to murder of Italian student

Egyptian police said Thursday they had found those responsible for the murder of Italian student Giulio Regeni, after killing four members of a criminal gang and finding the victim's wallet at one of their apartments.

The interior ministry said in a statement that it has shared its findings with Italy, which was helping investigate the abduction and murder of the Cambridge University graduate student whose mutilated body was found in Cairo in January.

The ministry also released photographs of the identification cards found in the wallet.
