Pro-marijuana state Colorado is bound to get even thicker with haze, following the unveiling of its most recent marijuana-friendly vending machine.
In what is being called “the future of marijuana in Colorado,” entrepreneurs unveiled a pot vending machine on Friday night in the town of Avon in Eagle County, according to City of Bud. The ZaZZZ machine will provide weed and edibles in the near future, Gawker reports.
ZaZZZ was revealed at Montana’s Smokehouse barbecue restaurant on Beaver Creek Boulevard by American Green, a company working in partnership with Tranzbyte Corp.
It was given a test run yesterday by the companies during the launch event in Avon.
American Green’s chief operating officer Stephen Shearing told City of Bud that ZaZZZ is Colorado’s first weed vending machine featuring edibles. He also said it’s “great for shy folks,” The Cannabist reports.
But don’t start scrambling for your wallets yet – buying a pot brownie is going to take more than some spare change from beneath the seat of your car.
According to The Cannabist, “only budtenders” will be able to access the machines - meaning you'll need proper ID and licensing. ZaZZZ, The Cannabist reports, is “an automated, age-verifying, climate-controlled marijuana dispensing machine.”
Puff, Puff, ZaZZZ:
City of Bud reports the machine will maintain stock from medical cannabis collective and dispensary Herbal Elements, which operates out of Eagle Vail, Colorado.
It has barely been five months since marijuana was legalized in Colorado, Gawker notes. Colorado raked in about $2 million from taxes on recreational marijuana in January alone.
