Baltimore riot: Seven officers hurt, one ‘unresponsive’

-

At least seven US police officers were wounded Monday and one of them was "unresponsive" after clashes erupted in the city of Baltimore, Captain Eric Kowalczyk told reporters.

The officer was speaking as crowds pelted baton-wielding police with bricks and bottles and destroyed at least one patrol car, after a funeral for a local man who died of spinal injuries eight days after he was arrested.
