China’s Xi arrives in India on maiden visit

China's President Xi Jinping arrived in India on Wednesday on a maiden visit that will set the tone for relations between Asia's two superpowers.

Television channels showed Xi and his wife emerging from their plane in Ahmedabad, home city of India's new Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will host a private dinner for the Chinese leader before formal talks on Thursday.
