article imageChina criticizes United States' human rights record

By Owen Weldon     Jun 27, 2015 in World
According to a report from China, racial discrimination and police abuses are rife in the United States. The report counters U.S. criticisms of China's human rights record.
The report said that the U.S. was haunted by spreading guns, as well as the frequent occurrence of violent crimes and the excessive force that police use.
The report continued to say that U.S. intelligence use indiscriminate torture against those who were suspected of being terrorists, while violating the rights of humans in other countries by launching drone sites, as well as mass surveillance programs.
The killing of Michael Brown, a black man who was shot by the police in Ferguson, Missouri, was also cited, as well as other cases in which white police officers shot and killed African Americans.
According to the report, the human rights situation in America is unlikely going to get better in the near term. It added that in the process of economic recovery, income inequality continued to enlarge and the health care system operated terribly, while the education rights of the average citizens were violated.
The report comes a few days after the the United States released a report that criticized China's repression on citizens.
For the last 16 years, China has issues an annual report in regards to human rights in the USA. However, no other country gets its own dedicated report from the State Council.
