Former Champions League winners Chelsea became the only English team to achieve a positive result in their Champions League last 16 first leg matches when they secured a 1-1 away draw with Turkish side Galatasaray on Wednesday.
Spanish striker Fernando Torres gave the 2012 champions an early lead -- his sixth goal in his last five Champions League appearances -- but Aurelien Chedjou levelled for the Turkish club in the second-half.
Chelsea were the only one of the four English teams to score a goal in the first leg matches, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United all going down 2-0 to holders Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Olympiakos respectively.
