Afghan avalanches ‘kill more than 100’

Avalanches triggered by heavy snowfall have killed more than 100 people in Afghanistan and the death toll is expected to rise, officials said on Wednesday.

Most of the victims were in Panjshir province north of Kabul, where two days of heavy snowfall killed 90 people, according to provincial governor Abdul Rahman Kabiri.
