West Babylon - Starting June 2, the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in West Babylon will be hosting its annual Greek festival on Long Island.
The church is located on 200 Great East Neck Road in West Babylon, New York, 11704. This 38th annual festival will run until June 5, and it will consist of Greek food and Greek desserts, Greek wine, beer and ouzo, dancing performances, live Greek music by ASTERI,games and rides for children, specialty vendors, as well as tours of the church.
This year, they will be raffling two cars as prizes at the festival. "Lets do everything we can this year to support this as best we can. Thank you all and God bless," they posted on their official Facebook page.
Last year, as Digital Journal previously reported, St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church suffered a devastating fire that resulted in millions of dollars worth of damage, especially on its iconography, where numerous newly-painted religious icons were destroyed.
For its restoration efforts, the church has a Go Fund Me page, which may be seen by clicking here.
