article imageIsraeli Air Force strike targets in Gaza following rocket attack

By Paul Iddon     Apr 21, 2014 in Politics
The Israeli Air Force has launched air strikes against three targets across Gaza following the firing of seven rockets from that territory into Israel.
As AP informs us Gaza militants fired a missile at Israeli troops on the border followed by a barrage of rockets into South Israel.
No injuries have been reported as of writing.
Reuters reports that both the Israeli military and the Hamas group which rules the Gaza Strip have said that the Israeli strikes launched in response to the rocket attacks were aimed at Hamas training camps.
Two Hamas militants have reportedly been lightly wounded as a result of those strikes.
Israel reiterated the stance it has been espousing for years now, that being one of holding the ruling Hamas directly responsible for any terrorist attacks or rocket fire against Israel from the Palestinian territory.
The Jerusalem Post writes that Israel Defense Force figures put the number of rockets to have been launched at southern Israel from the Gaza Strip since the start of 2014 at 100.
