article imageEFF: Jacob Zuma told many lies during State Of The Nation Address

By Matthew Hendricks     Feb 15, 2014 in Politics
The Economic Freedom Fighters, founded by Julius Malema, stated that Jacob Zuma told many lies during his State Of The Nation Address speech on Thursday, and claimed easy victories.
According to citizen.co.za, Economic Freedom Fighters spokesman Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said in a statement that most importantly, there was no clarity on whether the successes Zuma was giving an account of were actually from the time of Zuma's reign or before.
Iol.co.za reports the EFF saying Zuma claimed the current government was fighting corruption, but failed to acknowledge corruption and incompetence which included the construction of Zuma's Nkandla homestead.
"Zuma is claiming to be condemning violence during protests when his own political party was throwing petrol bombs and bricks at Democratic Alliance protesters when they were fighting over who is the best neo-liberal and right-wing policy implementer," news24.com reports the EFF statement to say.
“Like all previous [opening speeches]… the 2014 one basically told many lies and claimed easy victories.”
