article image9/11 truther interrupts Super Bowl press conference

A 9/11 truther decided to interrupt a Super Bowl press conference tonight in order to spread a little "9/11 truth" on ESPN.
"Investigate 9/11. 9/11 was perpetrated by people within our own government." Those were the words uttered by a random man who decided to grab the microphone in the middle of a Super Bowl press conference this evening. Fans and the press were expecting to hear the players and coaches talking about the game and about football in general but they got to hear a little bit about the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks as well.
It's no secret that a huge chunk of people question the official narrative behind the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. It's also no secret that a lot of these "9/11 truthers," because of the lack of coverage of their alternative points of view in mainstream media, tend to resort to drastic measures in order to get their message out. Back in 2007, a group of truthers ambushed Geraldo Rivera as he was live on FOX News. They chanted out "9/11 was an inside job" very loudly, interrupting the program and eliciting an angry response from Rivera. The crowd was led by radio host and founder of the 9/11 truth movement, Alex Jones, and interestingly enough Rivera has since been on Jones' show and pointed out that he respects the questions these people have been asking.
Tonight's incident likely comes as a result of news that Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll may be a 9/11 truther himself.
