Montreal police hope to find a woman from Canada who plucked and ate a raw bird on the Montreal Metro. A local citizen alerted police to a video of the incident on You Tube.
CBC reported police have begun to investigate the incident after a video began to surface online.
The video reportedly shows a woman between the ages of 17 to 25 in the crowded subway car close to Jean Talon Station.
Those who watched the video saw the woman taking a dead bird from a plastic bag, plucking it and then digesting an entire piece of the animal.
"She was eating a raw bird inside the train and there’s people that were disgusted by this incident,” Const. Manuel Couture with the Montreal police commented on the incident.
MSN reported passengers were disgusted by the incident and quickly walked away from the woman, with a shocked look on their faces.
Investigators from the Montreal police transit division are attempting to find the young woman.
Couture said the woman could potentially be charged with disturbing the peace. They also believe it is possible the woman may be affected by a mental illness.
The Toronto Sun reported the woman's face can't be seen in video clips of the incident.
"We'll start by finding her, then doing an interview with her," police spokesman Manuel explained how police want to handle the incident.
"Then we'll see if we'll go for psychiatric care, criminal (charges), or both."
Couture says the woman could still face criminal charges, even though there is no law against plucking and eating a raw bird in the metro.
"We consider it to be disturbing the peace," the police spokesman explained.
