Myrtle Creek - A three-year-old boy crashed a Jeep into an Oregon home, then ran back to his home to watch cartoons, according to local police.
ABC reported the toddler was wearing only a diaper when the incident occurred. Apparently he ran into the Jeep Tuesday evening and knocked it out of gear. According to witnesses, the jeep rolled down the street, through an intersection and into a house. There was minor damage to the house.
A local television station reported a police officer found the boy on a couch watching cartoons on television as though nothing had happened.
According to, the boy said his parents weren't at home, and another relative was sleeping.
This was actually the second time police had been to the boy's home. The first time, at about 9 a.m., a police officer discovered the small blond boy unattended as he sat in the black Jeep Wrangler outside his home.
When no adults came out for about five minutes, the officer asked the child where his parents were. He told the officer his parents were not home, but that another relative was with him but was asleep.
At that time, the officer awakened the 22-year-old relative and turned the child over to him. The police officer told the relative the boy had the keys in the Jeep, and the vehicle was not secure.
For that reason, ten hours later when police saw the Jeep after the crash and heard a diapered driver had left the scene, they knew right where to find the toddler.
The 22-year-old relative was cited for failing to supervise a child.
