article imageSurvey: Born-again Christians love website for affairs

By Walter McDaniel     Jun 6, 2014 in Odd News
The site Ashley Madison created a survey to find a connection between religion and cheating. They were not let down by the results.
The responses were significant with three standing out way above the others: Evangelists at 25.1% of respondents, Catholics at 22.75% and Protestants at 22.7%. These people apparently regularly use the site to find extramarital partners. These numbers do not account for those who did not respond or who lied about their religious preferences so keep that in mind.
They are of course not alone because Atheists came in at 1.4%, Hindus were represented at 0.3% and Mormons ranked in at 1.6%. Many of the biggest religions were involved in the survey.
Some people apparently see religion as an "outlet for forgiveness" according to Dr. Eric Anderson, who works in sociology for the University of Winchester. He was interviewed for a short article on the same subject by the Huffington Post.
So what does this tell us? People love to cheat and the religious are in with the rest of us. There are thousands of studies done it each year and likewise hundreds of thousands of articles. It's not a matter of opinion that human beings like to cheat, it's just a fact of life.
