Policeman pulls woman from track seconds before train goes by

By Mike White     Jun 24, 2014 in Odd News
A policeman in Richmond, Texas, pulled a woman off a railroad track seconds before a train went by, saving her life. The officer had been flagged down and told the woman was sitting on the tracks and has been called a hero.
Yahoo News reported Richmond Police Officer Ramon Morales arrived at the scene of the near tragedy just as the crossing arms were coming down. The camera on the dashboard of his patrol car was going at the time. He pulled her off the track just before the train arrived.
Richmond Police Department Master Sergeant Lowell Neinast told a local radio station, "He got there just in time. Saved this woman's life, without regard for his own.
"As the video goes on, she asked him if he's the one that pulled her off the tracks and he said, 'Yes I am.’ And of course she said, 'Well why did you do that?'” She was taken to Oak Bend Hospital to be examined.
According to fox5vegas.com, Officer Morales held the woman while the train passed, so he she couldn't run back to it.
Neither Morales, who has been with the department for only about 10 months, nor the woman, was injured.
