Mexican piñata shop recreates nude Kim Kardashian

By Scott Tuttle     Dec 3, 2014 in Odd News
Reynosa - Kim Kardashian took the internet by storm last month when she exposed her nude butt for the cover of Paper magazine. Thanks to a piñata shop in Reynosa, Mexico, haters of all ages can have their revenge on the controversial celebrity.
Kardashian's disreputable "Breaking the Internet" photo featuring her famous butt in the nude inspired a massive wave of jokes and social media memes throughout the world. Incidentally, it also inspired piñata craftsman Dalton Javier Ramírez Avalos who claims his mother was a fan.
“Lately we like making piñatas that are more trendy,” said Dalton to Fox News Latino.
Dalton, who crafts all of his piñatas by hand, normally sells a modest 10 piñatas per week from his tiny shop that he and his siblings inherited from their parents who started the Piñatería Ramírez over three decades ago.
With both parents retired, Dalton and his younger siblings have taken over the family craft.
Their latest creation replicating Kim Kardashian's "Breaking the Internet" pose was initially intended for bachelor parties, but demand has taken off worldwide since Dalton put a picture of the piñata on his Facebook page Sunday and the image went viral.
Hardly able to keep up with the growing demand, the Ramírez family has devised an assembly line method to maintain production. As the most experienced of the three, Dalton builds the intricate piñatas with wigs and while his younger brother handles the simpler ones. Their little sister does all the painting.
The more detailed piñatas run for about $100, and the simpler models are going for about $40.
Piñatería Ramirez's recent repertoire of trendy piñatas has also included Miley Cyrus riding a chili pepper, Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto as a vampire, and Dutch soccer player Arjen Robben, who became Mexico's most hated athlete after their loss to the Netherlands in the 2014 World Cup.
“Reynosa is a very violent border city,” said Dalton. “We are pleased that our city is providing something positive this time.”
