By Owen Weldon     May 19, 2014 in Odd News
Anchorage - A man in Anchorage Point, Alaska, accidentally shot himself in the head. He didn't go to the hospital right away because he thought he could treat the wound with Neosporin, an antibiotic ointment.
According to NY Daily News, James Doppler, 45, didn't end up going to the hospital for five days after his gun went off and left him wounded last weekend.
According to India Today, soon after the accident, Doppler started to experience symptoms that are typically associated with a wound to the head.
According to Independent, the symptoms that Doppler was experiencing convinced him that he needed to go to the hospital.
Doppler checked into Homer Hospital last Thursday, and he is expected to make a full recovery.
