Man says McDonald's coffee cup contained a dead mouse

By Owen Weldon     Oct 16, 2014 in Odd News
Ron Morals, of Fredericton, said that he got a cup of coffee from a local McDonald's on his way to work, and discovered a dead mouse in his cup.
According to CBC, Morals got the coffee from a McDonald's on Prospect Street on Monday.
Morals said that he takes the lid off when he goes for his last sip of coffee, and that's when he discovered the mouse, according to NY Daily News. Morals said the mouse had been in the cup for a while.
According to Metro, McDonald's got wind of the allegations and launched an investigation. However, it said that so far it had found no evidence of pests at the location Morals bought the coffee from.
McDonald's did release a statement and said that it is continuing to investigate the incident, which they have described as an isolated incident, and they have reached out to the Morals to obtain the sample of the product.
The statement also said that food and safety is a top priority and their restaurants are held to high industry standards.
Morals said that at the time of the incident, he felt a little queasy, but he said that he was in better shape than the mouse.
Morals did say that he would like to know how the mouse got into the cup and he wants assurance that something like this won't happen to someone else.
