Krispy Kreme customer films ‘bugs’ falling onto doughnuts

The woman, Ashh Nicole, filmed large insects falling onto doughnuts in the process of being glazed. She uploaded the video you YouTube three days ago, and since then the clip has been viewed more than 100,000 times.

In the video’s description, Nicole says the little dots are bugs. She added that the machine had mold on the catcher, and the staff members at the store were touching the floor with the same hands they touched the doughnuts with.

That’s not all Nicole claims. She said she saw an employee drop a spatula and picked it right back up and used it to scrape the belt the doughnuts were coming off of.

Nicole claims the manager at the store was rude to her and didn’t seem to care about her complaint. She also left a comment on Krispy Kreme’s Facebook page, telling them about the incident.

According to Krispy Kreme, the pest control company determined there were no signs of bugs in the shop, and they were able to determine that it was doughnut crumbs on the glaze.

Krispy Kreme said they have publicly and privately apologized to Nicole for her experience.

The company said they hope Nicole returns to the store to continue enjoy her favorite treat at Krispy Kreme.
