article imageIllinois town posts signs asking humans to stop pooping on paths

Hampton - A town in Illinois has decided to post signs that ask people to not poop on the bike paths. The signs are not aimed at animals.
The city of Hampton decided to post the signs because someone/someones have been pooping on the bike path. The signs say stop pooping on bike path, and many people think it is aimed at dogs, but it isn't. The message is for humans.
Scott McKay, the city's public works supervisor, said that this has been an ongoing problem for the last two years, and he knows for sure that it's human poop. He said that animals don't carry toilet paper around with them, and then stuff it on the top.
McKay said that whoever is doing it is leaving the toilet paper on top of the poop, and they do this every single time they go.
McKay said that it is a mystery as to why someone would keep pooping on the bike path, especially when there are restrooms in the area. He continued to say that it is gross and people shouldn't have to use the path when it is like that.
McKay is hoping the new signs will get the message across and discourage people to stop pooping on the bike path.
This is not the first time someone has pooped somewhere that is owned by the city. About five months ago, a man over in England entered a Hull council building and pooped right on the floor.
