article imageGrave robbing brothers engage in cannibalism

It is possible that after eating human flesh, one might develop a taste for it, but two brothers in Pakistan have taken the practice to the extreme. Already out of jail after a two year sentence for grave robbing and eating a corpse, they are at it again.
Mohammad Arif and Farman Ali were arrested in 2011 on charges of digging up about 100 graves and taking the bodies home with them. It is reported they later allegedly ate the bodies. They admitted to police at that time they had dug up approximately 100 graves, stealing and feasting on the corpses.
This time, police discovered the head of a boy in the brother's home in Sargodha, Pakistan while conducting a raid on Monday night, April 14, after neighbors had complained to police about the horrible stench coming from the house. Neighbors had also become suspicious because of seeing one of the men hanging around the graveyard.
The older brother, Arif, 36, was arrested at the home, but Farman Ali, 33, evaded police for a short time, after the two brothers were accused of going back to their "old ways." During the investigation, police found body parts and a pot apparently used to cook the boy's flesh, and took it into custody.
"We got news this morning that they are up to their old ways," Chief Constable Zafar Iqbal of the Bhakkar Police told NBC News. He added: "I'm not a doctor, but these guys are trouble. They've served time before. Maybe they have psychological problems, or maybe they're just bums. No wives, a family that doesn't talk to them, and a community that shuns them."
Mukhtar Hussain of the Bhakkar police department said the two brothers have been placed in separate cells, awaiting trial in an anti-terrorist court. Hussain added that the brothers have refused to eat anything they were offered. Pakistan does not have a law prohibiting cannibalism, so the two brothers have been charged with de-humanizing a body.
