article imageDeer cries when belly stops being rubbed

By Owen Weldon     Aug 1, 2014 in Odd News
A young deer was being held and his belly was being rubbed, but when the belly rub stops and the man tries to put the deer down, it starts to cry.
According to Time, the Kentucky man in the video is a lineman for an electric company, and in the video he is cradling the young deer. While cradling it he gives it belly rubs, but when he tries to put the deer on the ground, it let out a loud cry.
As soon as the man began to rub its stomach again, it stopped crying immediately. The man attempted to put the deer down for a second time, only for it to start crying again.
The man came across the deer while on a job site, and he picked it up to move it out of harm's way. The deer instantly became attached right after he started to pet it.
The video was uploaded last week, and since then it has been viewed more than 380,000 times. The overall response to the video has been positive.
The Humane Society advises people to stay away from young wild animals, unless you absolutely have a reason to be near it.
The Humane Society also suggests that if you have already handled a young deer, then you should take a towel and rub it in the grass. After you have done this, you will want to wipe down the deer, as this will remove traces of human scent. Once the deer has been wiped down, the organisation recommends returning it where you found it.
