Michael was being accused by his wife, Emma, of leaving her and their child for 20 minutes, so he could have sex with another woman. The couple decided to go on the Jeremy Kyle Show, and he took a lie detector test.
Emma explained that her and Michael were on the Coronation Street tour and a woman showed up, and Michael was rumored to have cheated on Emma with her. She continued to say that he was carrying his son, while she was pushing the pushchair, and after he saw the woman, he ended up leaving for about 20 minutes.
However, Michael said that he just went to the main entrance and he didn’t have sex with the other woman.
When the lie detector’s results came back, it revealed that he did sleep with the woman while on the tour.
Jeremy Kyle also told the audience that Michael did passionately kiss someone else, as well as had sexual contact with the other woman, on top of having sexual intercourse with the woman.
After the results were read, Emma broke down in tears and ran backstage. While she was backstage, Michael remained defiant and continued to deny that he had cheated on her. He told her that he did nothing wrong.
