Woman had her child blow in breathalyzer, so she could start car

The woman, April King, is being accused of having her son blow into the breathalyzer, so she could start her vehicle.

Doug King, the boy’s father, had the breathalyzer installed into his wife’s car because she was recently released from rehab. In order for her to be able to start her car, she needs to blow into the device.

King was arrested on Sunday, after she was accused of going into a bar to drink, while her son was left waiting in the car, which was still running. Her other child, a 2-year-old, was also left in the car.

The bar manager called the police after one of their employees saw the boy in the vehicle alone. When cops arrived, they said King told them that she had not been inside of the bar.

Police said that King was slurring her speech and she smelled of alcohol. They also said she was not stable on her feet.

While officers were speaking with King, the child got into the front seat and blew on the breathalyzer.

Doug King said that his wife should go to jail and that she had an alcohol problem. She is now facing a child neglect charge and was brought to the Orange Country Jail.

Kind’s children were released to a baby sitter, and they were not harmed. Doug King was out of the state at the time of the incident.
