Alcileide Rodrigues dos Santos, 22 from Brazil, was stabbed in the forehead with a big kitchen knife, but she ended up surviving the attack.
Santos was stabbed in the head by her ex-boyfriend, according to Daily Mail. She was sitting on a bench in San Pedro Town when police found her.
Not only did Santos survive the attack, but she also named Roberto Martins dos Anjos, 19, as the alleged attacker.
According to Mirror, Santos said that on Tuesday she and Anjos had a fight and it escalated. After she was stabbed, she found a nearby bench and sat down on it. She was taken to the police station and received first aid treatment before she was transported to the Estadual Mário Covas hospital.
The Metro reported that the knife had just missed her brain, and regardless of how the wound looked, it was described as superficial.
Anjos is still at large, and even though the case was registered with the local officers of São Bernardo do Campo, the Sao Paolo state's military police force is now in charge of trying to locate him.
In Brazil, domestic violence is a growing problem. Every 15 seconds a woman is assaulted, and one is killed every two hours.
Within the past 30 years, more than 90,000 women have been killed inside their homes. When it comes to violence against women, Brazil ranks number seven in the world.
