The driver made the threat after the user decided to cancel their ride. The Uber user said she booked a ride because she wanted to meet her friends for brunch last Sunday. She continued to say that she does suffer the occasional anxiety attack, and she decided on the day she was due to be picked up that she would rather walk to meet her friends.
It left the Uber user in shock, and she said the language the man used was threatening, inappropriate and disgusting. She also said that she ordered the ride right by her house and that made the whole thing even scarier.
Not only did the man threatened to slit her throat, but in the voicemail he warned her not to do that again. He also called her an idiot.
The woman took to Twitter and Tweeted to Uber about what had happened, and the company did reply back. They urged her to contact them ASAP, so they can do a follow-up.
A spokesperson for Uber said the woman did contact the company and she was urged to contact the police over the matter. The spokesperson added that the driver is suspended and they are investigating the incident.
