Fairfield - On Friday, police say that the skulls of an older man and woman were found at a Connecticut waste transfer station near some witchcraft books.
According to Fox, the skulls and a jaw bone were found on Thursday in a pile of trash at a Stamford transfer station. The recyclables were brought to the station from the home of a Fairfield man who recently died.
Police said that they have heard from sources that the guy who passed away was into the occult.
According to CBS, police said the skulls were sent to the medical examiner's office. Although the exact age was not determined, it was determined that the skulls were old.
The skulls will be sent to an anthropologist to find out exactly how old the skulls are.
Crews from a removal company were at the deceased man's house, clearing some stuff out when they found the skulls. They thought they were just some plastic decorations, so they took them, along with the occult paraphernalia.
The company ended up bringing the items to the transfer station, but they realized the skulls were real when they made another trip to the dump and noticing police.
An employee at the transfer station found the skulls while they were sifting through the garbage and they notified the police.
The deceased man's father said that his son bought the skulls as a joke, and said that he was not aware that they were real.
