A group of thugs in Irkutsk, Russia, beat up some people who were part of a St. Patrick's Day-themed flashmob. The group mistook them for gay activists.

According to The Journal, on Sunday evening a fight broke out after students at a language school held a flashmob in a mall.
According to Huffington Post, local authorities say that a group approached the flashmob and then a conflict took place. Things got out of hand and then the conflict broke out into a fight right outside the mall.
According to GlobalPost, the students were wearing kilts, and that appears to be one of the reasons why the opposing group thought they were gay activists.
The school said that some of the students, as well as teachers were hurt in the fight. A police officer also said that a teacher suffered a mild concussion.
