Mechanicsville - Two teenage girls from Maryland have admitted to torturing and sexually abusing a boy with autism and filming the horrific crimes on their mobile phones.
WJLA reports 17-year-old Lauren Bush and an unidentified 15-year-old female accomplice have been arrested for torturing the mentally disabled 16-year-old.
St. Mary's County Sheriff Tim Cameron said the girls, both students at Chopticon High School in Morganza, attacked the boy with a knife, kicked him in the groin, dragged him by his hair, and forced him to engage in various sex acts with an animal.
Mobile phone video recorded by the girls shows them forcing him to walk on a partially frozen pond, causing him to fall through the ice several times.
Cameron said the case is one of the most disturbing he's ever dealt with in his career.
"Who could harbor this ill will to do something so completely heinous?" he asked in an interview with WJLA. "I don't know. It's hard to fathom, really."
Investigators say Bush, who lives in a rural part of St. Mary's County south of Mechanicsville, knew the victim well.
The Chesapeake Today reports Bush is being charged as an adult with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, soliciting subject in the production of child pornography, and false imprisonment. She is being held in the St. Mary's County Detention Center.
Bush's unnamed accomplice has been charged as a juvenile with the same offenses. She is being held at Waxter's Children's Center pending further action by juvenile justice authorities.
