Man pours hot sauce on girlfriend, tries to put her in oven

Details emerged in court documents, which say that Joseph Castellanos, 31, slapped his girlfriend with a belt buckle, kicked and punched her and then urinated on her. At one point he allegedly stabbed her and tried to put her in an oven, but not before he poured hot sauce on her.

It’s believed he forced her legs inside the oven, but he then decided to scald her with boiling water instead of putting her inside. He is also being accused of holding a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.

Apparently Castellanos allegedly tortured the woman because she wasn’t fast enough when responding to messages he sent over via Facebook.

On top of all that, Castellanos is also being accused of attacking his girlfriend’s dog, stomping on it and trying to kick it as it hid beneath a table.

The victim managed to escape by running into a bathroom, where she phoned police. When officers arrived, the Castellano allegedly tried to convince the woman to lie and say that someone attacked her while at a train station. However, she told police what had happened, and that it was the second time he attacked her.

Authorities say that he previously stabbed the woman in the leg, proceeded to tie her up and then put her in the bathtub of hot water before he dragged her by her hair when she attempted to escape.

The following morning, Castellano told her he loved her before raping her twice when she didn’t tell him she loved him too.

Police arrested Castellano and he faces 14 charges, which includes forcible sodomy, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault, as well as aggravated cruelty to animals.
