Hot tub violation
But that’s exactly what went down Tuesday in Kelowna. Private security footage at the home in the 1900 block of McDougall St. showed a teenage male and a young woman, people completely unknown to the homeowners, enter the backyard late at night.
The two unwelcome visitors proceeded to take off their clothes, get into the hot tub and fornicate. Upon viewing the tape the homeowners, who do not wish to be named, called in the RCMP.
The Mounties say that the video footage shows the two trespassers engaging in “illegal and obscene acts” in the hot tub. They are also seen drinking and smoking something, the RCMP isn’t sure what, and sneaking about the back porch, peering into the home’s windows and eyeing goods, including a television.
Backyard security
The faces of the two are clearly visible in the footage, the RCMP said, so much so that they think they have already identified the male interloper, an 18-year-old. They are now following leads on who his female trespassing/sexual/prowling partner might be.
As CTV News reports, there are manners of locking your hot tub available though they are not going to be 100 percent foolproof. One such top is called a “Smart Top” and it is a particularly strong top with a cable locking mechanism.
RCMP did not say if the couple were in the backyard a long time or if their illegal entry was a quickie. In either case, given their space has been violated it’s likely the homeowners feel like they’ve been screwed around.
No word as yet on any arrests.
