article imageFather reportedly caught hiding heroin in child's diaper

By Walter McDaniel     Jul 14, 2014 in Crime
New Castle - According to allegations in the media 25-year-old Michael N. Penn placed 16 bags of heroin in his child's diaper to hide it from police. Reports state that he was caught and is facing multiple charges related to drugs and child welfare.
Penn allegedly was carrying his eight-month-old and five-year-old children with him on a bike. His other child, 7, was also riding the bike near him when police caught up with them. Penn was supposedly being sought on charges of shoplifting. According to a report from CBS the man had baggies which he attempted to hide in the diaper of his youngest child.
This is far from the only report of drugs being smuggled in an unconventional way. This has become so common that some have even studied how much a human being can smuggle within or around their body.
The problem with all of these cases, and the reason why additional charges are brought, is that there are some inherent dangers in doing this. These vary depending on the drug and amount but several of them are risky to have near any section of your body if they are in large quantities.
Heroin is inexpensive to make and can be moved in very small amounts. This has made it a popular choice for many dealers. His largest charges will be centered on possession which carries some significant jail time with it if Mr. Penn is found guilty.
