The search for Erin ended today after authorities found her body not far from her home on federal land in a mine shaft. According to ABC News, her corpse was located 140 foot down. Police were able to use her dental records to confirm it was the body of Erin Corwin.
Reports are out that she was only 20-years-old and was three months pregnant at the time of her death. Her husband, a Marine, reported her missing. She disappeared in the Joshua Tree National Park.
After her body was located, they issued an arrest warrant for Christopher Lee. He had allegedly been having an affair with Erin and the baby could have possibly been his, according to reports.
Christopher Lee says that he was not with her the day of her death and denies having a sexual relationship with her. At this time, he is in jail for her murder.
Inquistr shared that Erin Corwin had possibly been planning a day trip with Lee on the day that she went missing. The suspect had a wife of his own and moved back to Alaska only two short days after Erin went missing.
