Elderly couple slain in northwest Iowa

By Mike Rossi     Jul 11, 2014 in Crime
Akron - Details remain scarce surrounding the grisly death of an elderly couple found inside their Akron, Iowa home Wednesday evening.
The Plymouth County Sheriff's Department has yet to release any specifics of magnitude regarding their investigation, but they have stated that the deaths were "violent in nature," occurring sometime in "the last two weeks."
The couple, Donald and Esther Neunaber, lived at the Akron residence with their 44-year-old son, Johnathan Neunaber.
While police have yet to name a suspect they would like to speak with Mr. Neunaber in connection with their investigation.
Unfortunately, authorities have been unable to locate Mr. Neunaber for questioning. Plymouth County Sheriffs believe he is "driving a 2006 beige Buick with the license plate ACG866."
Anyone who sees the vehicle is being asked to call their local law-enforcement agency immediately.
