A conservative Christian talk radio host was arrested this week and jailed on charges that he sexually assaulted a young boy.
Joshua Brett Kimbrell, 29, has been charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 11, a first-degree felony, and has been held without bail in the Greenville County, South Carolina, Detention Center since Tuesday, according to a public records search.
He is accused of fondling a three-year-old boy and committing other sex acts against the child.
The suspect hosts drive-time a conservative Christian talk show "Common Cents" on the religious-format radio station Christian Talk 92.9FM and 660 AM in South Carolina.

According to a statement issued by the Board of Directors of the Palmetto Conservative Alliance, of which Mr. Kimbrell is chairman, the allegations were made by the suspect's ex-wife amidst a fierce custody dispute.
"Josh is in the midst of a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife to maintain an on-going parenting relationship with his three year-old son," reads part of the statement, which appears on the radio show host's Web site.
"It is not uncommon that allegations such as these arise in the course of such disputes, particularly when the complainant, in this case the ex-wife, can benefit from the allegations," the statement goes on. "In our experience with Josh Kimbrell, we know him to be a loving, devoted father to his son."
Arrest warrants indicate the suspect initiated the sex acts with the alleged victim under the semblance of a game.
