Aspiring playboy model Krista Boseley, from Canada, was busted last week at an airport in Orange County for trying to smuggle 50,000 ecstasy pills from Las Vegas to Los Angeles.
Boseley, and an associate who was with her, also had 90 pounds of MDMA powder. In addition to the drugs, she had more than $7,000 in her purse, and authorities found another $13,000 in the other person's bag.
According to The Smoking Gun, Boseley, 30, and Gilles Lapointe, 61, were arrested by federal agents after acting on information that the private plane they were on may have been involved with smuggling drugs or currency.
When the duo's plane landed at the airport, they were questioned and then their bags were searched after a drug detection dog alerted the authorities to the presence of narcotics.
Boseley denied that she knew about the drugs being trafficked or "anything illegal," but Lapointe may have made incriminating statements to agents. However, those statements were not detailed in the felony complaint against the duo.
After Boseley was arrested, investigators learnt that she was stopped in Los Angeles by police last year, and more than $40,000 in cash was found on her. She stated that it was someone else's money. Police also found a receipt that showed Lapointe's plane stopped at the Santa Barbara airport to refuel.
According to Daily Mail, it doesn't seem like Boseley is in jail, but Lapointe is currently behind bars.
Boseley is reportedly a real estate agent, and she was once photographed during an open call for Playboy.
