With ever more tourists arriving in Split, the 16th Croatia Boat Show opened on May 21, 2014, in trademark bright sunshine and in a new location on the Split waterfront, an event attended by Digital Journal.
The opening was attended by Deputy Tourism Minister Luka Brcic and Split Mayor Ivo Baldasar on the recently opened West Coast extension of the Split waterfront, most famous as the home to the 1,700 year-old Diocletian's Palace, the retirement home of the Roman emperor of the same name.

The economic crisis has hit the boat show hard in recent years, but this year's event boasted some 60 boats in the water and additional cars and nautical equipment in the exhibition tents, an increase on recent years.

The Croatia Boat Show is being held for the first on the recently-opened West Coast, an extension of the Split waterfront between the Roman palace and the ACI Marina. The fair will be open daily until May 25.
The Croatia Boat Show is now in its 16 th year.
