Split - Famed for its sunshine and beaches, the Central Dalmatia Tourist Board promotes the interior and culture in a double video release.
More evidence of the diversity of tourism in the Croatian region of Central Dalmatia was on show on November 25, 2014, with the release of two official videos by the Central Dalmatia Tourist Board, highlighting the region's culture, as well as the relatively undiscovered region of inland Dalmatia.
With its sun-kissed beaches, pristine water and enticing islands, it is little wonder that Central Dalmatia is one of Croatia's best-performing tourist regions, but the potential of the destination's interior and cultural offer are often overlooked by visitors, a fact that the tourist board is keen to address.
With more than 3 million views for its four official videos so far, including a gold medal at the Baku Film Festival, the official promotional videos have proved very popular, and today's release will give potential tourists greater insight into the possibilities of one of Europe's most fascinating regions. Watch the two videos above and below.
2014 has been another bumper season for the popular Croatian tourism region, with the main city of Split registering more than 1 million overnight stays by the end of October, while a surge in flight announcements for the 2015 season will ensure that this positive trend continues. A recent national tourist board initiative called Croatia 365 is focusing on extending the season away from the beach, by focusing on six key sectors: biking, culture, health and wellness, meetings and incentives, gastronomy and adventure tourism.
