Starbucks to get in the delivery game by end of 2015

Schultz described the upcoming venture as Starbuck’s version of ecommerce on steroids to Business Insider. Members of Starbuck’s rewards program on the green or gold level will be accepted for delivery of their favorite coffee through the company’s new upcoming nationwide app technology that will be ready by the end of this year. When customers accumulate five stars, they are at the green level. Five stars is equal to five Starbucks purchases. To reach the gold level, the member must accumulate 30 stars in 12 months.

Starbucks excels in customer satisfaction

This follows on the heels of their previous promotion of speciality coffees delivered to your door within three to five days of being roasted.

According to the Consumerist, officials with Starbucks say the Reserve Roastery Subscription service, which was launched Tuesday, costs $24 for a month or $288 for a year, allows subscribers to receive an 8.8-ounce bag of Reserve coffee within three to five days of being roasted at the company’s Seattle roastery.

Starbuck’s treatment of their customers is one of their drawing points in not only keeping customers happy, but also in bringing in new ones.
According to Business Insider, another recent Starbuck perk is automatic refills of drinks as long as the customer remains in Starbucks, “Free refills on drinks, regardless of your original order.”

The only disadvantage of the automatic coffee refills promotion is that many of the Starbucks locations do not follow through with the automatic refills. The lower-priced refills consist of iced tea, hot tea, brewed coffee, and iced coffee.

Starbucks changes life of homeless man
Starting in 1971, Starbucks has a long history of working with people, actively promoting work with the military and their families. Recently,Starbucks News sent out a PR that a 20-year-old homeless man by the name of Matthew Tejeda found his answer in Starbucks after being thrown out of his home at a very young age.

…here’s the thing about hitting rock bottom – when you lose everything, it helps you realize just how strong you are. I experienced intense hunger, felt the freezing cold, and lived with uncertainty. Slowly I began to realize I could survive. And if I could get through those things, then maybe I could survive anything. Maybe I was stronger than I realized. Maybe you are too.

In a homeless shelter, Matthew found himself reading Howard Schultz’s “Onward: How Starbucks Fought for Its Life without Losing Its Soul.” Soon, he began signing all of his emails and text messages with Howard’s famous signature “Onward.”

At 20 years of age, he started working as a barista at Starbucks. Due to the book, his advantage over other baristas was his awareness of how much Starbucks gave back to the communities it served — with integrity and a sense of community. In six months, Matthew was promoted to shift supervisor. Another six months made him store manager. And ever onward ….

The heritage of Starbucks
Each day a Starbucks employee goes to work, he or she has two goals in mind: hoping to make the world a better place and to share great coffee with new and old friends. That was the goal when they first opened their door in 1971and it is still true today.

It is also the reason why each new promotion has customer satisfaction in mind — such as having a hot or cold coffee delivered to you office desk on a daily basis by the end of 2015!
