Nursing home hires stripper to amuse patients: Law suit pending

By Carol Ruth Weber     Apr 8, 2014 in Lifestyle
Babylon - After an 85-year-old woman's son discovered a photo of his mother getting a personal show from a male stripper mother and son are suing the Babylon, NY nursing center for punitive damages.
A Long Island nursing home was discovered to have found a risqué way to keep patients entertained. A man finding a photo of a stripper entertaining his 85-year-old mother has instigated a law suit against the Babylon nursing center. Pix11 reports that Franklin Youngblood came across the picture in January at which time upon questioning a nurse he was told that the stripper was an "entertainment event." The Telegraph reports that Youngblood's suit claims that the stripper's actions "violated" his very religious mother.
According to the New York Post Franklin Youngblood discovered a photo of his mother, 85-year-old resident Bernice Youngblood, using dollar bills slated specifically for her commissary account to place into a stripper's briefs as the nearly-naked muscled man stood straddling her lap. Onlookers in the picture can be seen watching the event. The woman next to Bernice Youngblood is clearly seen with a smile on her face as she views the performance.
As reported in The Telegraph the lawsuit reads “Plaintiff Bernice Youngblood was placed in apprehension of imminent, offensive, physical harm, as she was confused and bewildered as to why a muscular, almost nude man, was approaching her and placing his body and limbs, over [her],” The family is seeking a sum of at least $1 million for damages received.
The East Neck Nursing and Rehabilitation Center claims on its website "At East Neck, you can enjoy the best of everything" and it seems that the facility has been working to fulfill absolutely everything that they perceive to be the best of, including stripper performances in the guise of entertainment.
