Former Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari talks new make-up line (Includes interview)

The former Laguna Beach star is partnering with Young Living Essential Oils to announce the launch of their new Savvy Minerals by Young Living, a mineral-based cosmetic line. “I am just excited to be a part of it,” she said. “I’ve been a huge fan of Young Living for a few years now, and they had seen through my social media that I was a fan. Last December, I did an event for them in New York, and we both loved working with each other, and I’m honored to be one of the first to preview the make-up line. I’m such a huge fan of them and their message. I’m humbled to be working with them again.”

On her plans for the future, Cavallari said, “I have a cookbook entitled True Roots that is coming out in spring of 2018. It is healthy and clean eating. I’m excited to show people that you can eat whatever you want, as long as you eat the right ingredients. That’s my overall message. Safe product and safe food, and that’s why I feel it’s such a great partnership for me, since Young Living is clean and safe.”

Each day, Cavallari is motivated by her three little children. “Honestly, once I had kids, I really came into who I am supposed to be. I feel I’m on the right path. They motivate me to be the best that I can be. They are the whole reason I got started on this health journey,” she said. “When I became pregnant with my first son five years ago, I wanted to give him the best, and ever since, I’ve maintained that. I pay attention to every ingredient label. I only want the best for me and my family. They are my biggest motivation in life.”

When asked how she balances it all (a family and a career), she said, “I feel very lucky. I’m very fortunate. I’m able to work from home and make my own hours. For the most part, I can make my own hours, and I can eat lunch with my children.”

“Honestly, I wouldn’t be able to do it without my husband [Jay]. Luckily, he is around every day, right now, which is good and bad,” she said with a sweet laugh. “He is truly so hands on, and helps out so much. I have no problem ever leaving him with the kids. I wouldn’t be able to do it without him.”

In her spare time, Cavallari enjoys working out. “I do it more for my mental health than my physical health. That’s how I re-energize. It’s a great break from every day life,” she said. “I love cooking, being with my family and hanging with my kids.”
