Firefighter comforts child crash victim by playing ‘Happy Feet’

An adult driver and the kids were driving in an SUV and the vehicle ended up leaving the road while on an exit ramp. As a result, the SUV rolled over a number of times, which left the roof crushed.

A firefighter by the name of Casey Lessard laid down next to one of the victims, who were waiting for an ambulance to arrive, and tried to calm him down.

Lessard was showing the young victim some clips from Happy Feet, a film from 2006. The movie is about emperor penguins in Antarctica.

Darren Peterson, D’lberville Fire Captain, said that his firefighters do what they can to make sure that kids are looked after after being involved in accidents and traumatic events.

The captain added that the video Lessard showed the boy calmed him down instantly.

The driver and the kids were all taken to the hospital. As of right now, the extent of their injuries are not known.

Also, a number of residents and bypassers stopped to help the victims, and one of the people who helped just happened to be a retired firefighter. The retired firefighter stopped right away because he knew that his training would allow him to provide assistance.
