Amazing video of unborn baby clapping along to mother’s song

When the mother and the doctor start singing the happy song, they were amazed to see the baby clapping hands almost to the exact rhythm and at the exact point where everyone is supposed to clap hands. What’s more, at the quickening crescendo, when you’re supposed to clap twice, the baby changes pace and does just that!

It seems a little bit of tweaking took place, but, nevertheless, its so moving you want to laugh and then cry at the same time. The impression you get is even a little bit spooky, as though the baby already knew the song or was able to understand it. To make it even more amazing, the unborn baby was only 14 weeks old.

There is now plenty of evidence to show that babies react to the emotions of their mothers – and even the father – as well as expressing themselves towards negative behaviors such as smoking – see the startling ultrasound photos of a fetus grimacing and holding its hands to its face as though it was as trying to defend itself, while its mother smoked.

For a long time now, it has been debated whether and when a fetus feels pain, especially after ultrasound images of them trying to fight away needles. But, perhaps the question is also when does an unborn baby begin to enjoy itself, feel happy and want to have fun?

Studies have also shown that new born babies seem to recognize and react spontaneously to music played when they were inside the womb.

Maybe it shows how much parents’ positive and happy disposition can affect the unborn child. It certainly seems that way with its mother, Jen Cardinal, as we hear her laughing while the father videoed it.

The Mail Online quotes the mother, Jen, who wrote below the post,

“At our 14 week ultrasound our baby was clapping, so I sang a song with our doctor as my husband filmed.”

‘The experience is one I’ll never forget. The baby clapped three times.”

She hinted that a bit of remixing may have taken place, but the reason they experimented was that their baby seems to clap a lot in the womb. Maybe its also whistling along to its own tunes?
