Garden City - Kali Chan, the Director of Media Relations at Adelphi University, has been nominated for the 2018 "Best of Long Island" competition.
She has been nominated for "Best Publicist," a category which she won last year, at the 2017 "Best of Long Island" contest.
Adelphi has been nominated for "Best College or University," as well as for "Best Public Garden." Its president, Dr. Christine M. Riordan is up for "Best College President," Mr. Dominic Scala is up for "Best College Sports Coach" for baseball, and Adelphi has been nominated for "Best College Sports Program."
In addition, the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (AUPAC) has been nominated for two "Best of Long Island" honors in 2018, including "Best Concert Venue" and "Best Theatre Arts Center."
Regarding her 2018 "Best of Long Island" nomination for the second consecutive year, she said, "I felt a sense of joy. I have had a remarkable career and I'm overwhelmed by the level of support of my friends and colleagues. This reinforces my love and passion for the public relations and communications field."
The respected publicist continued, "I also admire and respect my fellow nominees. Excellent public relations professionals are often behind the scenes getting recognition for others. So, I would like to salute their hard work on behalf of their organizations too."

Adelphi University in Garden City was named "Best College or University on Long Island" in 2017.

Ms. Chan also served as president of the Public Relations Professionals of Long Island (PRPLI).
