Ligonier - Recent bitter cold spells have made some ill and elderly people housebound. To help his fellow citizens during this challenging time, a Pennsylvania pizza delivery owner has been delivering medicines to the ill and elderly in his neighbourhood.
In an interview with WPXI-TV, Tom Wynkoop, owner of Fox's Pizza Den in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, said that he tweeted his offer due to the high number of elderly people who live in his area.
Residents who have respiratory problems or who are elderly simply have to call Wynkoop's cell phone number to arrange deliveries of prescription medication and other products, reports Global News. They do not have to order food from the pizza shop in order to have their medications delivered, says Huffington Post.
As of the original printing of this story, Wynkoop had made four deliveries. Something tells this reporter that interest in Wynkoop's offer probably increased after the story hit the mainstream media.
"You have to be there for your residents," he said in his interview with WPXI-TV.
