CRF Frozen Foods of Pasco, Washington is where this monstrously huge recall started back in April, and now, not only does the recall involve the U.S., but Canada, Mexico and now the United Kingdom.
On May 10, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) in the U.K., the equivalent of our FDA or USDA, reported that Costco Wholesale had recalled its Organic by Nature Organic Vegetable Medley as a precautionary measure due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The product description is as follows: Organic by Nature Vegetable Medley Pack size: 2.5kg, and a “best before” date of 7 February 2017.
The FSA said that Costco had recalled the batch as a precautionary measure and has sent a letter to all its member customers who bought the product, explaining why the product has been recalled and the actions members or ‘add-on members’ were to take if they have bought the affected product.
On May 22, Food Safety News reported that Costco has updated its recall notice in the U.K. to include its Dr. Praeger’s brand Frozen Organic Veggie Burger that covers three different lots because the products might contain Listeria monoctyogenes.
